Manchester City's David Silva Retires From Premier League; Reflects On Final Match

David Silva experienced a sensational career in the EPL.

Spanish star David Silva played his final English Premier League Match for Manchester City as they defeated Norwich 5-0. 

As he played 85 minutes in the match, he received a standing ovation from his teammates and head coach Pep Guardiola as he was subbed out. 

After joining the squad in 2010, Silva won four league titles, scored 77 goals and dished out 93 assists in 433 appearances. In a statement, he said " I love them and will miss them all...To win so many titles and the way we won it. I am a lucky guy, I have had lot of nice moments, and this one as well, the last one. I will miss everything, even the weather as well."

Manchester City still await Real Madrid in the Champions League which resumes August 7th. Silva said “I hope we can win the Champions League, it is a pity we have to play with no people but the safety of the people is the most important thing."
