Minnesota Twins Held Moment of Silence For George Floyd At 8:46 PM

The tragic death of George Floyd has resonated throughout the sports world.

The Minnesota Twins stopped play against the St. Louis Cardinals and observed a moment of silence in tribute to George Floyd at 8:46 pm.

Floyd died in police custody on May 25th after an officer kept his knee on the neck of the Minnesota resident for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Floyd in agony kept saying he could not breathe.

This led to unrest and protest all over the world against police's tactics when dealing with civilians and the racial prejudice and injustice.. 

Professional sports teams all over the world have been showing their support towards racial justice causes by honoring the lives lost and promoting 'Black Lives Matter' on their jerseys, stadiums, ads while engaging in conversation with various communities.
