NBA Scrimmage: Mavericks Beat Lakers In Star-Laden Matchup

The Dallas Mavericks took down the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, 108-104 in an NBA Restart Scrimmage in Orlando.

With both teams, continuing to exchange baskets early the game got off to a intense and competitive start but the Lakers established a 7 point lead through the second quarter and had a 55-44 advantage heading into halftime.

In the third quarter, Dallas came out blazing going on a 33-19 run and also gained a 12-point lead with three minutes left to go in the forth. The Lakers would finish the game on a 15-7 run but that proved to be too late.

Mavs Guard Seth Curry finished the game with 23 points in 16 minutes while shooting 100 percent from the field on eight shots. Luka Doncic talled 14 points and 6 assists while Center Boban Marjanovic stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, 13 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks and 1 steals.

As Lakers Forward LeBron James did not play the second half, he finished with 12 points and 5 assists. Lakers Big Man Anthony Davis scored 12 points on 5-7 shooting.
