On This Day In 1920, Women in the United States of America received the right to vote as the 19th Amendment went into effect.
The amendment prohibited all states and the federal government from denying Women the right to vote.
Women have since opened many doors economically, socially, politically and consistently continue to pave the way towards a greater standard of living for all people.
