On This Day In 1990, The Griffeys made history when they played in a game together for the Seattle Mariners against the Kansas City Royals.

In grand fashion, Dad, Ken Griffey Sr. batted second in the lineup before his Son, Ken Griffey Jr. batted third.

“This is the pinnacle for me, something I’m very proud of....You can talk about the ’76 batting race, the two World Series I played in and the All-Star games I played in. But this is No. 1. This is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”, Griffey Sr. said.

This special moment was made even more historic as both men would hit a single, get on base and later score.
