On This Day In 1930: Clyde W. Tombaugh Discovered Dwarf Planet Named Pluto

On This Day In 1930, Clyde W. Tombaugh discovered Pluto after using an astrograph to document a particular section of the sky for many nights.

In 2006, Pluto was no longer identified as a planet but rather a dwarf planet inside of the Kuiper belt.
