Riding on a 14 game winning streak, the Los Angeles Lakers of 2001 were in the midst of activating another gear. This would be due to the greatness of the young and electrifying superstar Kobe Bryant.
With Shaquille O'Neal's interior presence being so dominant and causing so much attention, Bryant was left to activate his array of dazzling skills and inspiring shot making.
Kobe would score 48 points & grab 16 rebounds in a 119-113 win against the Sacramento Kings and move on to play the San Antonio Spurs six days later in the Western Conference Finals.
