29 years ago, the Philadelphia 76ers traded their displeased Superstar leader Charles Barkley to the Phoenix Suns for All-Star guard Jeff Hornacek, center Andrew Lang and forward Tim Perry.
It was one of the most pivotal moments in Phoenix sports history.
The following 1992-1993 NBA season saw the Suns achieve a benchmark by collecting 62 wins with arguably its greatest team in franchise history that featured Barkley, electric Hall of Fame guard Kevin Johnson, All-Star players the likes Dan Majerle, Danny Ainge, Tom Chambers while being rounded out with the key role talents of Richard Dumas and Cedric Ceballos.
Charles Barkley would individually vindicate himself by winning the 1992-1993 NBA MVP award averaging 25.6 PPG, 12.2 RPG AND 5.1 APG while shooting 52.0% from the field.
