According to officials, Larry Demery, one of the men convicted in the 1993 killing of James Jordan, Father of Sports great Michael Jordan, has been granted parole via the Mutual Agreement Parole Program.

Demery and the co-convicted Daniel Green were sentenced to jail for first-degree murder and sentence to life in prison but because North Carolina eliminated parole from crimes in 1994, Demery was still eligible.

The parole date is set for August 6th, 2023.

James Jordan was killed in his car on July 23rd, 1993 while he was sleeping in his car.
