The 1994-1995 Phoenix Suns were an incredibly talented team led by Charles Barkley, Dan Majerle, Danny Ainge and electric guard Kevin Johnson.
As the Suns met the defending champion Houston Rockets in the '95 Western Conference Semifinals, they were in cruise control mode establishing a 3-1 lead.
The Rockets, championed by the likes of Hakeem Olajuwon, legendary newcomer Clyde Drexler and star shooters Robert Horry, Sam Cassell, Kenny Smith and Mario Elie, would rally back to force a win or go home Game 7 match-up.
As Barkley would give his best with 18 points and 23 rebounds despite a sore knee, it would be Johnson who took over the attacking duties producing 46 points and 10 assists in a skill and inspiring performance.
However, Drexler and Olajuwon scored 29 points apiece culminating with Mario Elie's huge three to put the series away.
Even though they fell short, Johnson's performance is always worthy of a revisit.
