"Jam Master Jay" is the 3rd track on Run D.M.C's first album which is self titled. It was released on March 24th, 1984 and was produced by Larry Smith and Russell Simmons. Both also served as writers along with fellow group member Jason Mizell (DJ Jam Master Jay).
The album also featured the song "Rock Box" which was the first rap video played on MTV.
