It has been announced that the President of Tanzania, John Pombe Magufuli, has passed away at the age of 61 from heart complications at a hospital in Dar es Salaam.

There have been rumors that he contracted COVID-19 but that has not been confirmed.

Vice President "It is with deep regret that I inform you that today...we lost our brave leader, the president of the Republic of Tanzania, John Pombe Magufuli," Vice-President(Now Interim President Samia Hassan Suluhu said in the announcement.
