Demitra "Mimi" Roche; "Bad Girls Club" Star Passes Away At 34

Former Oxygen Reality Star Demitra Roche, who was known as "Mimi" on "Bad Girls Club" has died at age 34.

Record Producer & colleague Vince Valholla announced the devastating news on Twitter Wednesday. Roche worked at Valholla's Entertainment company as Vice President of A&R since 2011.

“I’m at a loss for words. Don’t know what to say. Mimi was kind to everyone she came across. She was [a] big dreamer and was a part of our Valholla family. I’m heartbroken by the news of her passing. I’m thankful I got to know and work with her. My thoughts are with her family and loved ones....There’s probably not one person who would have something negative to say about her. We lost a beautiful soul.”, Valholla said in his statement.

Roche is well known for her 2012 appearance on “Bad Girls Club” Season 8 in 2012. “The Miami Maverick.” was her nickname as the show showcased a group of women living together in a mansion for four months.

"Mimi" was currently studying for her degree in Business Administration at Broward College according to her LinkedIn Page.

Her caused of death is not yet known.

The Fall Off will be J.Cole's sixth studio album and is expected to arrive sometime this year.

15 people were shot at a funeral the Chiacgo Police were monitoring.

President Trump has announced plans to address the consistent and ongoing violence in Chicago by sending in a "surge of federal law enforcement".

“Perhaps no citizens have suffered more from the menace of violent crime than the wonderful people of Chicago, a city I know very well,” Trump said.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was conatcted by Trump to reiterate his plan. While the Mayor called the conversation "brief and straightforward", she expressed concerns about the intentions of the federal agents.

“If those agents are here to actually work in partnership and support of gun violence and violent cases, plugging into existing infrastructure of federal agents, not trying to play police in our streets, then that’s something different but the proof is going to be in the pudding.”, Lightfoot said.

Attorney General William Barr said federal agents could take part in a plan to investigate gangs, drug trafficking organizations, gun crime while being engaged in "classic crime-fighting." The agents and investigators would include the Drug Enforcement Adminstration, the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and U.S Marshals Service.

Trump's announcement comes a day after a shooting outside a South Side funeral home in which 15 people were shot.

California Overtakes New York With Coronavirus Cases

California surpasses New York state in confirmed virus cases

California is hoping to ease the surge of COVID-19 cases.

According to John Hopkins University, the state of California has now surpassed New York with the most confirmed cases of Coronavirus with 409,000.

New York still has the most confirmed number of deaths with 32,500 while New Jersey, despite being the 11th most populous state in America, is 2nd with 15,700.

California recorded 12,807 cases on Tuesday and 115 people passed away.

State Governor Gavin Newsom said, "It's another reminder, if we needed to remind anybody, of the magnitude of impact that this virus continues to have."

Massive 75 Foot Whale Washes Up On Beach In Indonesia

Giant dead whale washes up on Indonesian beach

People ascend on beach to witness massive whale.

Near a beach in Kupang City, Indonesia, a 75 foot whale washed up with no inclination how the massive mammal died, according to a conservation official on Wednesday.

Blue whales are the largest animals on the planet, weighing up to 200 tons and growing as long as 32 meters.

"We think that it's a blue whale but we don't know what caused its death," said local conservation official Lidya Tesa Saputra.

The enormous whale was washed back to the sea before any examination could take place.

Blue Whale's tongues weigh as much as elephants and have an average lifespan of 80 to 90 years.

The 2-Year-Old, tennis icon Mom, Serena Williams and Dad, Alexis Ohanian are now co-owners of the newly founded Los Angeles Women's Soccer team, currently known as "Angel City" until an official name is announced.

10-Year-Old Tech Genius Hired By U.K School To Teach Coding

In a remarkable story, a 10-year-old has been hired by a school in the United Kingdom to teach coding.

Emmanuella Mayaki is a young tech prodigy who has now received her first job as the after school coding and programming teacher at Southfield Primary School in Coventry, England.

She will now be in charge of teaching kids her age about CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and HTML (Hypertext Markup Language).

Mayaki, also has an app on the Google Play Store called My Academy App where she "passes on the knowledge of coding and graphics."

In an interview with Face 2 Face Africa, Mayaki said her passion for technology began at age 7 and as she is still learning other coding programs and languages and she is so eager to grow. "I set a target to become a professional web designer and analyst at age nine, and I have accomplished it...In the first week, I was pretty nervous because I had never taught a group of children. Although, my experience was sublime because I gained experience and I also enriched my skills. My observations were that not everyone grasps how to do it on their first try and there are some that they rush through it in a breeze.”

Pfizer & BioNTech To Recieve $1.95 Million From U.S. Government For 100 Million Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine

The U.S. has struck a deal with Pfizer and German firm BioNTech to make 100 million Coronavirus vaccine doses and will be paid $1.95 Million.

With the agreement, both companies are also jointly working to produce four additional vaccines that can help the U.S. acquire an extra 500 million doses of the vaccine.

As long as one of the vaccines are proven to be safe, they will be "available to Americans at no cost" according to the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

Shares in both Pfizer and BioNTech rose by 3 percent when the market opened this morning.

NFLPA Says 95 Players Have Tested Positive For Coronavirus

According to the NFLPA, 95 players have tested positive for the coronavirus, up from 72 two weeks ago.

This comes on the heels of the NFL and NFLPA reaching an agreement on coronavirus testing for rookie players, who are expected to report for training camp this week.

Andrew Whitworth, Left Tackle for the L.A. Rams, were among the players who tested positive along with his Wife and seven other family members. His Father-In-Law has been in hospital for the last five days.

The league is moving forward with the September 10th kickoff but with limited fan attendance due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The U.S. has now ordered China to close its embassy in Houston by Friday. In a statement, the U.S. State Department said the decision was concluded upon to "protect American intellectual property."

China's foreign ministry spokesperson called the act "outrageous and unjustified."

According to U.S. State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus, the People's Republic of China's consulate has been ordered to be closed to "protect American intellectual property and private information" and "will not tolerate the PRC'S violations of sovereignty and the intimidation of our people."

China has said that the decision violated international law and was "an unprecedented decision."

Fire and emergency services were called to the embassy after people were caught on film burning papers to the ground but Houston police were not allowed access to the premises.
