In a 116-108 win over the Utah Jazz, the Los Angeles Lakers clinched the number one seed in the NBA's Western Conference. As they have a six game lead on the Los Angeles Clippers, with 5 games left on the schedule, the ability for the Clippers to win the West is over.

This is the Lakers's first capturing of the top seed since the 2009-2010 season, when the Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol led Lakers won the NBA Championship. Los Angeles is also the first team to go from the lottery to the No. 1 seed since the 2007-2008 Boston Celtics championship team.

Anthony Davis scored 42 points, hauled 12 rebounds while being defended by last year's Defensive Player of the Year, Rudy Gobert. LeBron added 22 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists.
