The upcoming Whitney Houston Biopic "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" has been bought by Sony and the studio has plans of releasing the film around Thanksgiving in 2022.
As the movie is about the life and times of the gifted singer who died in 2012 at 48, it will be co-produced by her Sister-In-Law, Pat Houston, on behalf of the Houston Estate. Other producers are Clive Davis, Anthony McCarten, Larry Mestel and Denis O'Sullivan.
Whitney Houston hit it big in 1985 with her self-titled album produced by Davis and Arista Records. She would later go on to be the awarded female musician of all time and sell over 200 record worldwide.
