20 years ago today, the WWE (Formely known as the WWF) purchased their rival World Championship Wrestling (WCW).
Three days later, the final episode of WCW's 'Monday Night Nitro' would take place and immediately end the company's Monday Night Wars with WWF's 'Raw'.
World Wrestling Federation Entertainment officially owned WCW for $4.2 million.
"The Invasion" story-line would soon follow.
