Jay-Z, Dame & Biggs saw historical success in 1998. (c) The Source |
Roc-A-Fella Records went to a new level in 1998 due to the release of Jay-Z's third album 'Vol. 2...Hard Knock Life'. The project sold over 5 million copies in the United States alone, debuted number one on the Billboard 200 and won the Grammy for Best Rap Album.
What a year to have but to achieve that level of success with your co-founders who are also your great friends must have been really nice for Jay-Z, Dame Dash and Kareem "Biggs" Burke.
Times have certainly changed.
